This oil on canvas, scrolled, is signed in the bottom left «Etienne Loys», in a beautiful frame in the form, in richly gilded wood and carved with interlacing, shells and acanthus leaves.
In the «Hérault Studies», Laetitia VITAUX signs a remarkable study on the painter «Etienne Loys (1724-1788) a little-known artist with multiple dimensions». In the list of works not found established by Mrs. Laetitia VITALS, it mentions: «Woman with a basket. See Supra.» which refers to our table.
